Our fundamental principle is the conviction that students’ self-esteem, confidence, and emotional stability will be enhanced and improved by the Bricklehurst Manor Personalised Approach.
This approach means that students will access an adaptive curriculum which takes account of the National Curriculum as well as being relevant to individual need. This is designed to prepare students for adulthood providing them with appropriate qualifications and life skills. This is blended with a range of therapeutic inputs that focus on, and support their social, emotional and mental wellbeing. We use Education Health and Care Plan outcomes and Individual Therapy and Education Plans to drive progress and ensure students are able to thrive.
All learning should be useful, relevant and enjoyable and where applicable we will seek to gain accreditation to demonstrate progress and achievement. We fundamentally believe that all achievements, academic, vocational, social and emotional will only increase our students’ chances of living a happy life as independent, responsible members of society with a toolkit to maintain positive mental health.
